I'm one of the OutLife support team. Thanks for posting, I'm guessing from the above that you're experiencing depression or something similar? You don't mention but I'm gonna move forward with that as the assumption. I'm sorry if you're having a tough time of it at the moment.
Without a doubt some of our members will have some personal stories they'd like to contribute to this. For my part, I've experienced depression for 10+ years. Though I've never managed to 'get over it' per-se, I have found a medication regime which keeps the worst of my symptoms at bay, and I'm always learning new ways to improve my quality of life. Recently I've started going for long, cold, wintery runs with my dog, which is great for my self-esteem and seems to keep me calmer. Taking up art, working on sleep hygiene, and practising mindfulness have also had an impact. It's still difficult some days, and I'm not sure I'm ever going to be clear of depression, but I've learned a hell of a lot in the past few years about myself and how to best take care of my mind!
What works for one person may not work for another, and it's best to try and explore these things yourself (and, of course, with the advice of a medical professional.
