I have been with my girlfriend a very long time. A few people know we are together but she is basically in the closet. How do I stop feeling hurt? How do I stop feeling like I am not enough? Love shouldn't hurt.
Welcome to OutLife's forums. Happy to have you here.
That sounds like a tough situation to be in but you are certainly not alone. Many LGBTQ+ people are in similar relationships where one person is out and the other is not. There's no correct way to deal with this issue but it's about finding a solution that you both can agree on. Many people will set a plan out for when to come out, some will just take it day by day and others find that it's too much and end their relationship. Obviously nobody wants you to end your relationship but if this situation is affecting your mental and emotional health then you need to look after yourself, otherwise it can lead to serious issues in the future.
Have you talked with her about how you feel? Maybe couples counselling could be a good thing to look into? There might be LGBTQ+ services which can help. Let us know if that's something you'd like to look at and we can see what's out there.
